FACTS Tuition Managment

FACTS is a third-party company that services schools across the nation in the areas of Tuition Management and Financial Aid. TCS has partnered with FACTS to collect tuition as well as other costs associated with the education of your student. At the time of enrollment, you will be asked to set up your tuition payment plan and method of payment.

We have an 11-month payment plan for tuition. The preferred method of payment for tuition and other costs is an ACH bank transfer. In addition, FACTS accepts credit card and check payments. A small fee will be assessed when using a credit card with FACTS.

There will be a $35 charge for all returned checks. 

Tuition and fees are to be paid as agreed in this Agreement, the Tuition and Fee Schedule or other activity fee document in strict compliance with the deadlines stated therein. If an account is delinquent by thirty (30) days, the account is considered past due. PARENT also understands and agrees that in the event an account is 60 days past due, STUDENT will not be permitted to travel on any Temple Christian School-sponsored or related trips and will be ineligible to participate in Temple Christian School athletic, fine arts or other team events until the account is current. PARENT also understands and agrees that in the event an account is 90 days past due with respect to any tuition or fees due, in the sole discretion of TCS , and with the unconditional and express consent of PARENT, the STUDENT may not be allowed to continue to attend classes until tuition and fees are paid in full (or until PARENT makes other written arrangements acceptable to TCS to pay all amounts due). Further, grades, testing results, transcripts, report cards, etc. of the STUDENT shall not be released to the PARENT or any other party for any past due account including any account for which the remainder of tuition and fees for the current Temple Christian School year are required to be paid by the terms of this Agreement to be paid in full but are not, until such time as the tuition, fees and activity accounts are current or paid in full. PARENT expressly waives any claim or right to demand the release by TCS to PARENT or to any third party, of any grades, testing results, transcripts, report cards, etc., of the STUDENT unless and until all accounts for STUDENT are paid in full as required under this Agreement. Under no circumstances shall TCS ’s decision not to allow STUDENT to attend class, or to withhold grades, testing results, transcripts, report cards, etc. in any way release PARENT from any obligation herein including the obligation to pay tuition and fees when due. 

In addition, if the STUDENT is enrolled in the Temple Learning Center program, PARENT also understands and agrees that TCS reserves the right to fill STUDENT’s space in the Temple Learning Center program with another student upon PARENT’s failure to make any payment beyond 30 days in arrears, but that any exercise of such right by TCS shall not release or discharge PARENT from the obligation to pay the full Temple Learning Center fees or any other enrollment fees required by TCS . 

For all checks written to Temple Christian School, a $25 service fee will be charged for any insufficient checks returned and only a cashier’s check or money order will be accepted for such insufficient amounts and service fee. 

Any transportation expenses, activity fees or other special fees and charges not included in the fees quoted on the Tuition and Fee Schedule must be paid separately to TCS for such activities in which the STUDENT participates. 

PARENT agrees and consents that, regardless of any other qualification, STUDENT may not be permitted to begin attendance in class for any Temple Christian School year if any tuition or fees in any amount are past due and owing at the time classes begin for such Temple Christian School year. Such student’s place on a class list will be confirmed only if the account for STUDENT is fully current. 

There are no conditions by which any tuition fees or tuition payments paid on behalf of one STUDENT may be transferred to another STUDENT. 

WITHDRAWAL OF STUDENT AND TERMINATION OF AGREEMENT BY PARENT 

As a non-profit institution, the overhead expenses of TCS do not diminish with the departure of some students during the course of the Temple Christian School year. PARENT agrees that it is impossible for TCS to determine, at the time of my execution of this Enrollment Agreement, the damage and loss to TCS that would occur due to the cancellation/withdrawal of some of the students who have enrolled. 
PARENT may terminate this Agreement by submitting a written Termination Notice to the TCS Business Office in strict compliance with the dates indicated below (the Termination Date). The written Termination Notice must: 
(a) be dated; (b) state the STUDENT’S name; (c) provide a reason and any required documentation, if applicable, for the termination of the Agreement; and (d) be RECEIVED by the TCS Business Office on or before the Termination Date. If such Termination Notice is timely received, PARENT will be released from the financial obligation to pay for the entire year’s tuition and fees subject to the following statements and in the manner set forth below. Even if this Agreement is terminated pursuant to the terms of this Paragraph, PARENT understands and agrees that the Temple Christian School will not refund any portion of the STUDENT’S enrollment and/or registration fee or any other non-refundable fees set forth by the Temple Christian School. 
Parent also understands and agrees that PARENT shall NOT be released from the financial obligation to pay for the entire year’s tuition and fees if the STUDENT has been or is in the process of being suspended or expelled at any time by Temple Christian School for disciplinary reasons or other reasons as set forth in this Agreement. 
·      If the Termination Notice is received between March 8th and April 30th, PARENT will be released from paying 60% of the next Temple Christian School year’s annual tuition. 
·      If the Termination Notice is received between May 1st and May 31st, PARENT will be released from paying 50% of the next Temple Christian School year’s annual tuition. 
·      If the Termination Notice is received between June 1st and June 30th, PARENT will be released from paying 40% of the next Temple Christian School year’s annual tuition. 
·      If the Termination Notice is received after July 1st of the current Temple Christian School year, PARENT is obligated to pay the entire annual tuition, 

EXCEPTION: If the PARENT provides written documentation, which, in the sole discretion of TCS , is acceptable evidence that the STUDENT has moved and now resides 30 or more miles from Temple Christian School with the PARENT or another guardian who has legal custody of the STUDENT during the majority of the Temple Christian School week, or the STUDENT cannot attend due to a medical condition, as diagnosed in written form by STUDENT’S physician and provided to TCS. All such documentation must be provided to TCS on or before the deadline date herein. In these exceptional cases only, PARENT will be released from paying: 

1. 100% of the current year's annual tuition if notification is received by July 31 
2. 50% of the current year's annual tuition if notification is received between August 1 and December 31 
3. The remaining tuition would be a prorated amount of tuition due after excluding dates of attendance through the withdrawal date. 
 

The Administration office requests a 24-hour notice prior to withdrawal.

Official records, including transcripts, will not be released until a student's account is paid in full.

2. Temple Baptist Church Member:  A 10% tuition discount is available after one full year of church membership. The student(s) and parent or guardian of the student receiving the discount must be regularly attending, serving, tithing and supporting members of the church. Forms are available in the Church Office. Must be applied for annually. The deadline to apply for this discount is prior to your first tuition payment. 3. Full-Time Ministry – A 10% discount is available to students when one parent is in full-time ministry or ministry training (i.e. church staff member, Seminary/Bible College professor, Seminary/Bible College student, missionary). Full-time church staff must have the full-time service as their primary source of income. Must be applied for annually.(This discount may not be combined with TBC member discount or financial aid. 4. Hardin Simmons University Graduate Discount—10%.  Temple Christian School has partnered with HSU to offer a discount of 10% on tuition to 5 students on an annual basis for families with a parent who is a Hardin Simmons University alumnus. This discount is schoolwide K4-12th grade, not per family.  Because of the limited number of spots available, the scholarship will be held for the coming year until the Early Enrollment period ends.  At that time, any current student with the Hardin Simmons University discount who is not re-enrolled may lose their discount to a new TCS student of a Hardin Simmons University alumnus who is enrolled for the coming year.  An administrator of Hardin Simmons University must confirm to TCS that the alumnus is eligible for benefits. Families often qualify for more than this discount offers. We strongly encourage you to apply for Financial Aid during the open application period before applying for these discounts.  Financial Aid funds are limited and fully dispersed immediately after the closure of the application period.

* All discounts applied at the beginning of school terms only. The application of discounts after this time may be considered in unique circumstances and are not retroactive.

** Only one of the discounts above may be applied to the family account in a single academic year, Families may not receive any of the above discounts and Financial Aid.
