Institute for STEM Education

Institute for STEM Education

For five years, Temple Christian school has been a STEM Education leader in Tarrant County. As one of only a few private, Christian schools in the state of Texas with a fully integrated K-12 engineering pathway, we continue to be a driving force in education. Led by a dynamic faculty in collaboration with industry experts and post-secondary faculty, we are able to better prepare students for the rigor and complexity of engineering and collegiate-level coursework. The philosophy of the Institute for STEM Education is one that emphasizes the skills needed to succeed in the 21st century workplace. The Institute for STEM Education was established to challenge students while immersing them in a Christian education environment.

TCS STEM Definition

Through a Biblical worldview lens, STEM education is the intentional integration of a transdisciplinary approach in the application of skills and associated practices of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. STEM education is a culture of next-generation thinkers and planners and exists in any student-led environment where students use computational-thinking to create, design, engineer, and apply solutions to real world problems, and where they develop the skills to articulate concepts in a meaningful way.

TCS STEM Vision

Educating and developing accomplished leaders through rigorous academic concepts that enable them to make real world connections through STEM education.
