Thank you for your interest in being a part of the Providence Program at Temple Christian School. TCS is a Christ-centered school located in Fort Worth. The Providence Program seeks to enroll students who are capable of and committed to success in the total educational program of the school. We welcome students of all racial and ethnic origins and religious affiliations. School acceptance is based on several factors that include previous school performance, teacher recommendations, testing results, and a record of exemplary behavior at home, in school, and in the community.
We have high expectations for our students in light of their attitudes, actions, and academics. As a Christian school, we are committed to developing the whole student - socially, emotionally, spiritually, morally, and academically.
The type students we are seeking to be a part of the Providence Program exhibit the necessary skills to not only be successful in school but also in the workforce as a Christ-follower.
Specifically, a Providence Program student will....
Possess leadership skills
Are willing to take risks
Have a sense of social responsibility
Serve others in the name of Christ
be in school activities
The application and admission process reviews each applicant from a variety of perspectives. Each stage of the process accounts for students’ academic prowess, along with attendance and behavioral criteria, teacher recommendations, and interpersonal and social skills. Our admissions process is designed not to be exclusive, but rather to be inclusive of like-minded families. The admissions process involves the following steps:
Review all school material and prayerfully consider if TCS is the best fit for your child. Carefully review each handout, including the school Handbook, available on this website.
Complete the initial inquiry application below.
Once the initial inquiry application is review, a representative from TCS will contact you about the next steps. This will include:
Secure student evaluations. Three evaluation forms must be completed for each applicant.
Submit school transcripts and any relevant standardized testing.
Schedule an entrance exam. Entrance exams are required for all incoming students in grades three through eleven. This exam is used to properly place your son or daughter in the class to ensure success. Tests are administered throughout the school year. Testing will be scheduled by the admissions staff.
Schedule a school admission family interview. The admission office will call to arrange an interview for the purpose of discussing the compatibility of the family’s goals with the school’s methods and philosophy.
Notification of Admission Decision. Once the interview process has been completed, each family will receive a letter from the admission committee informing them of the committee’s decision.
Register for classes. Students accepted to TCS will receive an email with enrollment and registration instructions. Enrollment forms are submitted online.
