Sandra Jones
Hello! I’m Sandi Jones. I’m so pleased to be returning to the TCS faculty this year as a 4th-grade grade teacher. I have 35 years of teaching experience including 28 years in public school and 6 years in a private Christian school. Each of these 35 years has been spent teaching 5th and 6th grade. I earned a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Moorhead State University in 1987 and graduated cum laude. I grew up in Fargo, North Dakota and moved to the sunny Dallas/Fort Worth area in 1988.
I now reside in Kennedale with my husband, Jeff Jones. We don’t have children, but we have quite the menagerie of spoiled pets including 3 Bichon Frise dogs named Lexi, Dolly, and CoCo plus an umbrella cockatoo named Taylor. My mother, Pat, lives with us, and she has a Maltipoo named Sasha.
My faith is an important constant in my life. My relationship with Jesus is my compass in life providing direction, comfort and peace. I believe it is my responsibility as a teacher to guide my students’ spiritual, emotional, and academic growth.
I am a motivated professional who enjoys helping students build confidence and academic success. My philosophy is that all students can stretch and grow their intelligence through good reading and study habits. I am knowledgeable and skilled in teaching intermediate level students, and I’ve had a long history of success with this age group. I seek to nurture, engage, and motivate children to succeed. I am a calm, patient person who has a high degree of integrity, and high standards for myself and my students. My goal is to make learning an enjoyable, rewarding experience. I look forward to an awesome year!
