My name is Charla Ann Story, and I am excited and thankful that the Lord has brought me to Temple Christian School where I am teaching Secondary Bible and English to our precious students entrusted to me by God.  I love and value being a part of the Temple family where I see the love of God, the love of His Word, and the love of others every day.

Although I began teaching at Temple in 2022,  I have been teaching in Christian education for over 30 years and hold a Master’s in Education from East Central University.  A little bit of trivia:  Mrs. Schweitzer and I are both graduates from Oklahoma Baptist University.  While in Oklahoma, the Lord not only called me to teach as Adjunct Professor at Oklahoma Baptist University, but also to start C-Bar Horsemanship Therapeutic Riding Center where we served children and adults with special needs in equine-assisted learning activities.  Our students learned to play softball, volleyball, fishing, and even math, reading, and science concepts with the horse as their partner.  For this, I hold certifications with both the Professional Association of Therapeutic Riding as well as with the Certified Horsemanship Association as Master Instructor, Certifier, and Site Accreditor.  During the summer months, I still help centers across our region with their programs and accreditations.

My husband, Steve Story and I are blessed with our four adult children:  Chelsey, Chad, Gregory, Bronte, and one grandson, London.  My husband, Mr. Story is also a Christian educator; he is an Orchestra Director and Jazz Band Director.  On most weekends, he manages and performs with his business, Steve Story Music at local festivals, fundraisers, and private or corporate events.  Many times, I am blessed to perform with him.  When we get the chance; we enjoy watching birds, hiking, camping, kayaking, horseback riding, and visiting with family and close friends.  We love serving the Lord together and are members at First Baptist Church of Keller where we worship and grow in our walk with our Lord.  Each day when I drive into the Temple Christian School, I thank the Lord for bringing me here.
