Dr. Ladye Welpman was called to Temple Christian School and private Christian education in 2020, where she now serves as the Secondary Principal and leader of Temple’s STEM Education and engineering pathway.
Dr. Welpman completed graduate school in 2013 at The Louisiana College, receiving an MA in teaching with a Math and Science focus. In 2017, she earned her doctorate in K-12 Educational Leadership. She was nominated for the coveted leadership award at the culmination of her doctoral studies. Her research includes STEM education within underrepresented populations, specifically in the field of engineering disciplines.
Dr. Welpman worked in public education as a teacher, followed by an administrative position as a STEM coordinator at the district level. She is an adjunct professor at Tarleton State University, where she teaches in the College of Education. Dr. Welpman is married to Michael, and they are the parents of daughter Grace, and son Garret, both of whom are TCS graduates.
