My name is Joshua (Josh) Swanson, and I am blessed to teach Secondary Science at Temple Christian School. I joined the TCS faculty in 2026 after teaching secondary Bible previously for 3 years and secondary science for 2 years. I have taught full-time since 2022.  

I earned a Master of Theological studies from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2019 and a Master of Arts in Christian Education with an emphasis on Teaching and Discipleship in 2021. I have an ACSI Professional Certification in Bible, and I am working toward getting certified in Science as well. While my greatest passion is teaching the Word of God, I truly enjoy teaching my students about the amazing world that God has created and our purpose for existing in it.

I am also passionate about Christian education. I love incorporating a biblical worldview into my classroom. Seeing my students’ faces light up as they begin to understand some deep, meaningful truth about God and His Word or His World is one of my profession’s greatest blessings!

My coming to TCS was an unexpected but wonderful blessing and answer to prayer. I have loved seeing what God is doing here at TCS and am excited to see how He will continue to do amazing things and work mightily in the lives of the staff and students this year! May Christ ever be glorified in our work done for Him here at TCS!
