Kaleb Barrett
My name is Kaleb A. Barrett, and I am delighted to serve as the Band Director and to lead chapel worship here at Temple Christian School. Though originally from Connecticut, I have been blessed to serve in music and ministry across the country—including teaching music and Bible at a Christian school in Fort Worth and serving as Pastor of Music and Education in Hawaii—before coming to Temple.
I hold a B.A. in Music with concentrations in Music Theory/Composition and Church Music, along with a minor in Biblical Studies, from Trinity International University. I also earned an M.M. in Church Music, focusing on Composition and Conducting, from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and an M.Div. in Biblical Studies from Gateway Seminary of the Southern Baptist Convention. Over the years, I have had the privilege of touring nationally and internationally with choirs and bands, experiences that continue to shape my approach to music education and worship.
My wife, Naomi, and I met in college and married in 2014 shortly after graduation. We are members of Church of Christ the King (SBC), where I serve as Music Minister and Naomi serves as our Accompanist. When I am not engaged in music and ministry, I enjoy traveling, reading, and listening to podcasts.
I count it a privilege to invest in the students and families of Temple Christian School, helping them grow both musically and spiritually, and pointing them to the glory of God in all things.
