  • Kyla Kille:  Head Varsity Coach

 

This past summer, Kyla participated in the USA Adult National tournament in Austin, TX where her team, Club Tejas, finished 1st place winning the gold in the Women's A division.  Kyla has also coached club volleyball for Dallas Skyline Juniors from 2001-2006 as an assistant coach.   In 2003 Kyla helped lead her 15 National team to an open berth at the Junior Olympic Nationals.  Her team qualified for nationals by taking 3rd place at Lone Star Classic National Qualifier.  At the 17s level, Kyla helped lead her team to a 4th place finish at the Northeast Qualifier in Baltimore, a first place finish at the North Texas Regionals where she qualified for nationals, and a fifth place finish at Junior Olympic Nationals in 2004.  In 2005 Kyla led her 18 RoShamBo to an open bid to Nationals, a #1 ranking in the state of Texas, and a 19th place finish in the nation.  In 2006 Kyla led her 16 RoShamBo team to an open bid at Nationals and a 27th place finish in the nation.   In college, Kyla attended Dallas Baptist University where she received a full scholarship to play volleyball.  At Dallas Baptist, she helped lead her team her first year to DBU's first playoff game ever in school history.  She also helped lead the team the next year to the regional playoffs where they were also given a national ranking.  Kyla received many awards such as defensive player of the year, Lady Patriot Medal of Honor, NAIA second-team all-conference, and most valuable player.  Kyla graduated from DBU in May of 2000 with a Bachelor of Science majoring in Psychology.  In High School, Kyla attended Carroll High school in Southlake, TX where she played on the varsity volleyball team her junior and senior year.  She helped lead her team to Carroll's first playoff birth.  She also received second-team all-district honors in class 4A.  Kyla played club volleyball for club TNT her junior and senior years. 

          Kristen McDonald: 8th Grade Coach

 
This is Kristen's second year working at Temple Christian.  Currently working in the Development Department helping with the fundraiser projects and also helped out with the 2006-2007 8th Grade Volleyball and Junior High Girls Soccer teams.  Kristen graduated from Temple in 2001, playing volleyball and basketball all 6 years.  Receiving All-State and Regional honors; however, none higher than the Temple Eagle Athletic Award.  
  Kristen and her husband, Jordan are expecting their first child this October.
