General Soccer Information:

2007 FIFA WWC:          Follow the U.S. Women’s National Team as they currently play to reclaim the Women’s World Cup from China.  More information about the Men’s and Women’s U.S. National Teams can be found at www.ussoccer.com.

Becks hits the U.S.  The world’s most famous soccer player (“footballer” in every other country) has come to play for the L.A. Galaxy in the MLS.  Despite injuries that have kept him out of most matches, this has focused more attention to professional soccer in the United States since Pelé signed with the New York Cosmos.  To follow the MLS and soccer around the world (in English) check out the Fox Soccer Channel or msn.foxsports.com/foxsoccer on the web.

To keep pace with the Galaxy, FC Dallas recently signed World Cup-winning attacking midfielder

Denilson. Support FC Dallas on its way to the Major League Soccer Cup at http://fc.dallas.mlsnet.com/MLS/fcd/ .

Want to improve your understanding of “The Beautiful Game?”  Consider becoming a referee.  If you are going to be 12 years old prior to September 1, then you could be a referee for local youth matches, learn the nuances of the laws of the game, improve your own game, and get paid for it!  Your local playing association will often have courses for certification.
