Homecoming

Category: Master Event Calendar

Date: October 16, 2020 - October 16, 2020

Parents and Friends of TCS,

With Homecoming this week, we want to remind families of the guidelines established regarding home football games. Most have done a great job of following the guidelines but there have been issues with elementary and middle school students not being where they need to be. Per our emails:

Students and children 8th grade and below must remain with parent/adult guardian at all times. The playground and the slope by the field house are off limits.

This means students not in high school should not attend unless a parent/adult guardian is with them. Additionally, we have requested only current Temple families attend the event. We love our alumni and former students, but in order to stay at 50% capacity we have to make this request.

Several parents have asked about hybrid students being able to wear their mums/garters to school on Thursday—absolutely!

Finally, we are going to have a short, outdoors pep rally Friday morning with our secondary students. We will also be recognizing Dorothy Stringer during this time and making a few presentations to her.

We love the sense of community a home football game brings, and are excited to see our first game this Friday. Nevertheless, it is important for us to realize COVID 19 is still a reality, and as with everything else, how we attend games are going to look different in the short term future. With this in mind, we want to share the following procedures which have been established by TAPPS as well as TEA and CDC. We have been blessed to have no positive cases so far among our staff or student body, but this has been due in part to the diligence of our TCS community following guidelines. TCS asks these procedures be followed at all home games until otherwise noted.
