I was born in Fort Worth and raised in Springtown, where I attended school, Kindergarten through 12th grade. My family joined First Baptist Springtown when I was just 6 years old, and I was baptized there.  During high school, I went on several mission trips and felt God's call to be a teacher.

My husband, Stephen, and I have been married for 23 years, and we have one child, our son, Michael.  Michael had attended TCS since PreK, and will be a SENIOR this year!!!  You may recognize Michael from several TCS musical productions and from our High School Choir and Ensemble. Our family attends Southcliff Baptist. Stephen and I are active in the church orchestra, including performances for the Southcliff Singing Christmas Tree.

A few of my favorite things are fried pickles, Dr. Pepper, Texas Rangers baseball, and the movie, The Wizard of Oz.  My family also enjoys participating with a Scottish reenactment group at Scarborough Fair in Waxahachie each spring. 

This will be my 20th year at Temple. This year's theme is "IF..."  How AWESOME!  If God is for us, who can be against us?  What an empowering thought!  Lamentations 3: 22-23 tells us that God's mercies are new every day!  We are assured of his LOVE and his GRACE each and every day. I know that many of our 5th grade families have already had me as a teacher twice. It's no accident that God has brought us together again!
