Great Southwest Aero Modelers is holding an invitational event for TCS students Saturday, Oct. 8. Purpose is to expose young people to the hobby of flying model planes. Their facility is across the street from the school. Event is open to students 11 years of age and older. They ask that one or both parents accompany the student. Events will include flying demonstrations of different types of model aircraft; computer simulators for the students to try out; and actual orientation flying of a model plane. A free lunch will be provided. Event begins at 10 am and ends at 4 pm. More details on the club are available at www.flygsw.org.
