In response to numerous requests over recent years, Temple Christian School now offers a wide array of services to the growing home school community.  Included are:

1.    The opportunity for home school students to come onto one of Temple’s campuses to attend individual courses the parents may feel would be of benefit to them.

2.    The opportunity to have access to Temple’s outstanding staff of teachers, each teaching in their area of specialty.

3.    The opportunity for email contact with supervising teachers.

4.    The opportunity to possibly participate in a wide array of extra curricular activities parents feel would be of benefit to their child.

5.    The opportunity to earn secondary credits from a fully accredited school.

6.    The opportunity to participate in Temple’s programs for distance learning, dual credit and AP tracks.

7.    The opportunity to eventually earn a standard Temple diploma. 

8.    The opportunity to be assured of a space during all of Temple’s standardized testing opportunities.

 

TCS Home School Details

 

·       Based on Temple’s 8 period days, Home School students pay 1/8 of Temple’s regular tuition for each class in which they participate.(maximum of 4 classes per year)

·       Enrollment fee is $100 for two or fewer classes or activities.  Additional classes’ enrollment fees are $50 per class. All enrolling students must pass the standard TCS Entrance Exam (one time $75 testing fee)

·       Home school students will be accepted into TCS classes as long as space is available.  Home school enrollment is accepted after July 1.

·       TCS Home School, at this time, is open only to students in grades six through twelve except by special arrangement.

·       Home School students are expected to be in TCS school uniforms while attending on-campus classes and must meet TCS appearance standards.  TCS offers both new and used uniform availability.

·       Fees normally paid by TCS students for testing, extra curricular activities, etc. will also be paid by participating home school students.

·       Standard enrollment information (birth certificate, shot record, etc.) must be supplied.

·       Home school parents will have access to their student’s school records through TCS’s 24 hour Renweb web site.

·       To receive a regular TCS diploma, a student must attend TCS as a regular day student for at least their senior year.

·       Under certain conditions home school students may be allowed to participate in athletics, fine arts, and other extra curricular activities.  Consult the school for details.
