About Mr. Jolly

Interview

What are the goals of the science department?

Why do you love teaching science?

"God is amazing in his creativity. Understanding his universe is part of his command to subdue the earth. It is fun to discover what God has done in his creation & he takes joy in our discovery."

What is your role in the Temple Christian Science Department?

"I am the head of the science dept. (with help of the administration) I set direction & give encouragement to the other science teachers."

What experiments do you plan on doing this year?

"Depending on finances I would like to dissect everything I can get my hands on. We will dissect pigs in Biology, but I would like to include starfish, crayfish, perch, and pigeons. A.P. (Advanced Placement) classes will dissect brains, eyes, hearts, and maybe kidneys. "

What do you plan to do to improve the science department?

"Within the next two years we will have some new science electives in place as well as time in the schedule for students to do distance learning. One elective I am particularly excited about is Creation Science."
